4) Training sessions are on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the times are dependant on the age group that you will be joining.
5) Depending on your ability and progression at traning, it may take some time before being able to participate within the regular team for league and competitions games. We however encourage all players to continue to work hard at improving their ability and working towards a regular place in the squad.
6) We expect parents of players to conduct themselves with respect for themselves, the club their child represents and the wellbeing of their child. Albeit very dated, the following video gives a good example of what is NOT considered appropriatte behaviour and can be found here.
Joining Murayfield Junior Ice Hockey Club

Some things to note for joining the club;
1) We expect anyone wishing to join the club to be able to skate confidently as we are committed to teaching the game of Ice Hockey and not how to skate. Exceptions are made at the more junior levels but anyone wishing to join will be asked to trial so that we can asses their skating ability.
2) You will need to have the majority of Ice Hockey kit before you join (we can provide some items on loan depending on size and availability etc.) including Ice Hockey skates, Knee and elbow pads, helmet & face cage, Body Harness, Gloves and Stick. An example of costs from an online retailer can be found at http://www.skateattack.co.uk/ - typically you can expect to spend around £150-£200 or alternativeley have a look on Ebay. There is also a nearby shop to the Ice Rink in Roseburn, Edinburgh called 'Penalty Box' which has a full stock of equipment. Can Am sports (http://www.can-am.co.uk) is another quality Ice Hockey equipment shop based in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
3) There is a monthly membership fee which covers the hire of the ice rink for the training sessions as well as the funding of fees associatted with the club (League entry fees, Club expenses, equipment, referee fees etc.).
